
DOA (HKAR-21) Training Course
Course Introduction

The general course breakdown for this 2-day training course is as follows:
During the first day the DOA concept, history and legal and regulatory system of Hong Kong SAR, evolution of DOA will be explained in general terms. This will be followed by a detailed presentation of HKAR-21 Subpart J Design Organisation Approval (DOA) Requirements, AMC and GM. On the second day 2 Design Organisation Handbooks will be shown for clarification and better understanding how to draft such a handbook. The course will also give a presentation of the DOA application process and working procedures. The instructor will explain the initial investigation, surveillance and approval of significant changes to the DO. The course will be finished by a panel discussion.
Course Objectives

At the end of this 2 - day training programme, the total 29 course attendees should have a sound understanding of airworthiness concept, Hong Kong aviation regulatory system, HKAR-21 certification requirements and CAD procedures on type certification, modification and repair, certification arrangement with other Authorities, DOA, POA, HTSO and HPMA.
