This Aviation Lead Auditor Course is designed for improving the auditor’s competence and enhancing their practical and team leadership skills in planning and managing the audits in the aviation industry. The course is developed to support Hong Kong and Macao aviation industry that required the organisations to develop management systems and associated compliance monitoring or safety oversight process.
AOC, 145, 21, 183 and 147 approval holders are required to develop and implement robust management systems to ensure and enhance safety. They are responsible for compliance with their operation, suppliers and sub-contractors and hence required an in-depth audits process covering all areas of their activities.
Aviation Industry required competent auditors with the necessary skills to conduct audits. Auditors are required to possess technical competence, interpersonal qualities, ability to plan, execute, lead and to undertake in-depth investigation in challenging world. In addition, an auditor needs management skills to implement more cost effective audit process.
This course enhances the skills of the auditors who manage and conduct audits in the aviation industry. It is to support the need of Hong Kong and Macao aviation requirements. The organizations will get the maximum benefit from auditing in the pro-active manner.
The course is practical and highly participative. Participants who attend and pass the final examination will be issued with a certificate of achievement.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, participants should have a better understanding of the overall principles of auditing in supporting the organisation’s safety and corporate objectives. The course will also improve knowledge & skills of the participants and their ability to develop risk based audit programmes. The participants should be able to plan, conduct & report audit findings against regulatory requirements, working alone or leading an audit teams.
Participants will be trained to lead an audit team by using a range of audit tools and methodologies.

This course is for those required to work and lead a team in the internal audits, audits of suppliers, subcontractors etc. It is good for those who undertake audits in relation to AOC Holder, Fleet Management Organization, Maintenance and Repair Organization (Part-145), Training Organization (Part 147) and Design & Production (Part 21) Organizations.
